What is your background/expertise?

Reinoud van Assendelft de Coningh is CEO at Van Assendelft & Partners, the Dutch attractions consultancy and is renowned as specialist for leisure, attractions and culture, focussed on concept developing and strategic marketing.

Previously he was Theater Director, Commercial Director at the leading Dutch Theme park ‘Efteling’, also at the global skating shows of ‘Holiday on Ice’ and active in various committees of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

What was the biggest challenge in your professional life so far?

In the ± 240 projects that I have accomplished in the past 27 years there have always been challenges! The biggest challenge is to turn them into opportunities!

What is the achievement you are most proud of?

As chair of the marketing Committee of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, I have been able to bring ‘Give Kids The World’, a Florida based foundation that gives families with a child who suffers from a life-threatening disease a worry-free holiday week, to the association as a global charity program.
